Yes they are according to many black men. In a recent article about black singles, a brother strongly expressed his frustration with dating black women. He went on to say that he's confused to why black women complain about the non-existence of good black men but quickly dismiss "good" brothers. This anxious brother went on to say that it seemed like all black women wanted were black men with athletic-builds, Boris Kodjoe looks and Tyler Perry's bank account. I think it's safe to say that obviously this brother has been burnt more than a few times by a certain type of women, then chose to categorize all black women the same. Are we really surprised? Yet another brother perpetuating the "All Black women are Gold-Diggers" myth. In reality, gold-diggers come in all shades, black, brown, white, olive or tan. To take one (or however many) bad experiences you may have had with a black women and lump them into this continued stereotype is low. People need to seriously start taking some responsibilities for the relationships they get themselves into. If you find yourself in a continual cycle of entering into the same types of relationships with a woman (or man for us ladies) over and over again with the same outcome, I say that maybe you need to see check yourself. Perhaps you should be asking yourself, "Why do I keep attracting the same type of individuals?" It is then that you'll likely realize that you are the source of the problem and find that may be looking for love in all the wrong places.
I get slightly agitated by comments like these because people love to play the blame game and not own up to their faults. This problem definitely goes deeper but that's another topic for another day.
My question to you all is who's to blame for this negative deception of black women?

We can only blame ourselves, much like the old saying "beauty is in the eye of the beholder" it reigns true, for situations like this, it's ignorant to say any group, is one thing or another, because God made us all individuals =) So I say don't so much play into the media or stereotypes or what you hear, don't mean to be cliche but, don't judge a book by it's cover, get to know them and then judge lol

Not only do I blame the media for the perpetuation and degredation of the black woman, but I blame our own hip-hop artist who have given up artistic authority and have allowed the media to have our women portrayed over and over again as gold-digging women through the multitude of music videos airing currently. How oftern do you turn to BET and you see a video of a woman chasing after a guy because of his car, money,jewelry...is that all we are to them? Where are the strong black women being depicted that fight to keep families together? As women we also need to take charge of how we allow ourselves to be portrayed.
Black women start in on your money quick....wanting money for bills or to get their hair or nails done and NEVER even offering a black man a drink. They are money hungry parasites and are best left alone
I am "white". I met a "black" woman online and we met several times. She ripped me off every time we met, brought me to unreasonable places, were stealing cash from my wallet, finally she invited me to her home and stole cash from me and stole my credit card data. A week alter she stole $2000 from my card account. When I filed a police report she issued a restraining order on me when I tried to get my money back from her. I'm not racist, I will date "black" (coloured, mixed race, but definitely not a congoid) but I will be careful from now on. I also noticed all or most my "black" male friends are lying all the time and begging for money while saying they are kings of some sorts. WTF?
